WHAT ARE THEY ALL ABOUT?
KNB Camps focus on fun AND engage children in their learning - they are specifically structured so that kids are actively involved at all times, and that the material being presented and the tools being used are appropriate to each student's ability level. So, yes - kids CAN learn and have fun at the same time!We offer all kinds of camps for kids from 4 - 16 years of age, with the themes of LEGO, LEGO Robotics, and Minecraft. Campers also learn about Media Studies, LEGO Stop Motion, and Coding as part of their weekly special activities.

SUMMER CAMP THEMES:
LEGO CAMPS ... Building with LEGO is not only fun - kids learn while they play! A great camp for 4 - 6 year-olds.

LEGO camps incorporate independent, creative building of models and guided challenges for model building to teach children a variety of skills and subjects.
Children are able to progress at a self-paced speed, with extension activities offered to challenge more advanced learners, and extra support to ensure mastery of the lesson, as teachers observe, or children indicate, their need.
Our focus is to ensure that our students enjoy the process of play, and make it their own. As their building-at-play story emerges, learning is solidified.
Available as half-day OR full-day camps.
LEGO ROBOTICS ... terrific fun for kids 7 yrs and up

Yes, kids as young as 7 years old can build and program with LEGO Robotics - and that's just the beginning! We offer beginner to advanced levels, to engage different abilities and experience with the platform.
Children are put into teams of 2 or 3 per team, depending on their level. Each team has their own LEGO Robotics set and their own laptop, so they can work entirely at their own pace. The lessons, themselves, are short - the class is intended to be experiential - and they learn how to program their robots by actually programming the robots! Our teachers will challenge the teams to try out ideas, discuss and trouble-shoot, and they are always present to support and guide them to the answers as needed.
LEGO Robotics is available as a half-day, morning camp OR as part of the full-day camp.
MINECRAFT EDUCATION ... awesome fun for kids 7 yrs and up
This is Minecraft - with a twist! The children will learn about a wide variety of curriculum subjects - math, geography, language arts, visual arts, and history - which will be explored using the Minecraft Education platform.Essentially, in the afternoons, the kids will be playing Minecraft - at least, that is what they will be focused upon. However, by using the Minecraft Education platform, we structure their play so that every day they are learning in these subject areas - they just don't realize that they are learning! To them, it is just fun - and that philosophy and approach to learning is at the heart of everything we do.Minecraft is available as a half-day, afternoon camp OR as part of the full-day camp.
MEDIA STUDIES

Each week, campers will be introduced to the world of digital media, as they create, and learn to safely and properly build, their own YouTube channel.
Please inquire about availability for this camp option.
LEGO STOP MOTION ANIMATION
The children will also learn about stop-motion animation techniques, and will create their own LEGO stop-motion animation movie during camp - which they can then upload to their YouTube channel!
Please inquire about availability for this camp option.
INTRO TO CODING
And to round off the fun and learning of the week, campers will learn about coding, applying their lessons to program and play video games.
Please inquire about availability for this camp option.
